Provide a “Textline” Number for Inbound SMS
You can set up an inbound Virtual Mobile Number from FASTSMS for just £99 + vat per year, to create a company “Textline” for clients, colleagues, suppliers to send you SMS text messages.
These Virtual Mobile Numbers look like standard 11-digit mobile phone numbers (i.e. 077xx xxxxxx) but they are linked to your FASTSMS inbox and can be forwarded from there to a selected email address or a mobile phone or a url (for integration with other systems). The cost is fixed at £99 per year irrespective of the number of inbound messages that come in so is a very cost effective way of providing an additional means of contacting you. You can put it on your letterheads, email signatures, website, advertising material and so forth.
It’s also a great way of providing a contact point for out of hours service. You can re-allocate the mobile phone number and/or email address it goes to depending on who is covering out of hours support. The person providing the support can plan response better from a text than from a phone call which interrupts them in real time.
