5 ways to increase your click through rate
We are always looking for ways to improve our business, whether that be internally or externally. Office improvements, processes, communication, marketing, customer support or sales – it’s important for any business not to stand still.
One thing businesses are always trying to improve on is of course sales. Sales. Sales. Sales. The more the merrier and the bigger the better. And this usually lands on the heads of the sales guys or the marketing team.
Within marketing, marketeers are always looking for new ways to get ahead of their competition or ways to improve their current marketing exploits. Higher open rates. More responses. More click throughs. More sales.
We all know mobile marketing is the perfect way for any business to communicate with it’s customers, whether that be appointment reminders, customer support, delivery information or generating more sales.

So we thought we would take a look at how you can increase your click through rate within your mobile marketing messages…
Clear calls to actions
Maybe an obvious one but you really want to keep things as clear and concise as possible for customers, and a very clear call to action is imperative for any message or offer.
Click here now, call this number now…, visit our website here… etc.
Keep it simple and give them all the information they need, don’t hide it or expect them to look up your website address or telephone number. Give them all the links and numbers they need.
Wow them with your message
Grab their attention. Whether it is a catchy intriguing opening line, or an offer that is just too good to ignore – grab their attention, make them carry on reading and act on your message.
Sale now on, offer ends soon, great news, while stocks last etc.
Try to give a sense of emergency to your messages that will make your customers think that they need to act now or they will lose out.
Keep it short, sweet and simple
Don’t write reams and reams of text. Keep it short, sweet and straight to the point. Customers won’t want to read 6 paragraphs explaining that you have decided to launch a Summer Sale.
Send at the right time
The timing of every marketing message is imperative to the success of it. Think about the content of your message, does the time/day suit the message content? No one will want to buy a big winter coat in the Summer or be interested in flip flops in December. Likewise no one will want to buy a pizza at 9 o’clock in the morning.
Think about what your customer will be doing at the time they receive your message. Will they be asleep? Will they be able to act on your message?
Send to the right people
Last but by no means least, send your message to the right customers. Make sure you segment your customer database into different groups and categories so you are sending relevant messages to your customers.
A man is not going to want about your latest Summer dresses, likewise a single parent is not going to want to hear about your kid packages for family holidays.
So segment your database into relevant groups and categories to your business, whether that be by gender, previous purchases, age, interests or location… Whatever suits your business to make sure you are sending out relevant messages to the right customers.
